SUPERSTREAM
The ATO is apparently putting a lot of resources into additional staffing to pursue those employers who have not registered for SuperStream. This is the way businesses must pay employee superannuation guarantee contributions to super funds. With SuperStream money and data are sent electronically in a standard format.  It must be used by employers and Self managed Super Funds

For further information go to: https://www.ato.gov.au/Super/SuperStream/

Alternatively come and discuss how this affects you and how you can become compliant

CENTRELINK
On 1 January 2017, there will be changes to the assets test Centrelink uses to calculate pensions. The rebalance of the assets test may affect your payment. This may affect you if you currently receive an Aged Pension, Carer’s Payment, Disability Support Pension, Widows Pension, Wife’s Pension. If you have a Certified Financial Planner, it would be advisable to meet with your advisor to review your assets to plan and determine how this may affect you.

EMPLOYMENT LAW, FAIR WORK AUSTRALIA & HR ISSUES
A client recently made an enquiry regarding the change to the award wage for their industry. I don’t know how you have fared with enquiries with Fair Work Australia but it was very frustrating.
It is a complicated area and ever changing! The requirements for employment, termination and separation are quite involved.
We have a number of local Gold Coast Legal Firms as referral partners who provide support and great service in all areas of employment and industrial law. Call us for a referral.
There are also other providers who, for a monthly fee, will provide comprehensive support in terms of compliance, advice, insurance and legal representation.

If you know any business owner who can benefit from our broad range of services pass on their details to 1300 399 599 or info@rede.com.au
