INDIVIDUAL TAX ASSESSMENTS AND QUARTERLY TAXES

If you have a MYGOV account, the ATO are now bypassing the tax agent and uploading your annual tax assessment
into your MYGOV account. They then either send you a text or email (depending on your nominated preference).
You should not ignore this as there is no paper assessment issued anymore.

The same is happening with quarterly tax notices (where they are relevant to you). Paper notices are not being issued.

As a result , a number of you are not paying tax commitments on a timely basis.
The ATO is texting or emailing to advise this, where appropriate.

To keep abreast of your tax obligations, we encourage you, for security reasons, to log into your MYGOV account direct , rather than any link that may be in the text or email.
